Had an amazing time doing surfing for the first time with Evan. He was super patient and understanding especially since I have never done anything similar to surfboarding before (skateboarding, snowboarding, etc.). We went to Dog Beach which was great with a super flat shore, cute dogs as witnesses, and plenty of waves (that weren't too terrifying) to have a first go at surfing.The wet suit provided was super helpful as well as the board too. It wasn't something super advanced that I felt intimidated using nor was it something that I was worried about breaking somehow.I received plenty of high fives even when I thought I did the bare minimum (which is super uplifting when doing something you've never done before). He was super encouraging and just a chill dude to learn from. Would definitely recommended for any people interested in trying surfing (even if only once).
Evan was an amazing instructor! Gave me a great lesson and even got me standing on my board for my last run. Such a great morning. Also, amazing communication setting up my lesson.
Oh my goodness so fabulous. My flight was delayed so I had to reschedule last minute and Andrew was accommodating, kind and excellent with communication. Evan is a great instructor. Got my first lesson with Bruno today and it was so fun . Coming to the lesson with zero experience in surfing but Bruno made the session feel so chill and easy to follow , I Like how attentive and patient Bruno was with me. If you have extra time to spend while visiting San Diego , learning surfing with Bruno and Calif Bro Surf is a great option.
Had a lesson with Evan in San Diego. He was so kind and patient with me. Exactly who you want teaching you to surf. I had an absolute blast and highly recommend going with these guys.Very easy to chat and connect with so you donβt feel as anxious trying to learn something new. Great instructors and great location for beginners. Had perfect weather and good waves, definitely the best surf experience Iβve had! Really friendly and the vibe of the lesson was chill and helpful which I really appreciate as a beginner. I started off nervous but ended my lesson feeling super satisfied and confident with what I learned! Would definitely recommend these guys
Can't even begin to describe how great this team has been. I'll start off by naming Evan, the instructor for my few lessons..this guy was so great, I left every session with a new respect for technique, & felt a satisfaction of improving after every session. Cannot recommend this place enough.

I come from an island located in the Southern most of Indonesia, known as Sabang where there are a number of beaches with gigantic wave. I was not able to do surfing like my friend did, but wanted to surf like them so badly.I found Cali Bro Surf Co on a website and registered. After a couple of months in training, now waves, however big they are, are my good friends. I surfed every weekend with my buddies who praise me now for my excellent ability to do the surfing. Coach Evan was extremely patient with our 7 yr old. He was kind and friendly and made our kids first surfing experience one to remember. Spent a lot of time in the water with him and made sure that he took breaks. Overall it was a great experience. First lesson in the books and we canβt wait till the next one!
